Islam is last but true divine religion and charter of Islam offers peace and equality for entire humanity till judgment day. The Holy Book of Islam that is Holy Quran is full of wisdom and knowledge and teaches not only Muslims but all human beings about how to coexist in this world under the guidelines of Allah described in this sacred book.
Quran in the words of Holy Prophet (PBUH):
The life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the practical application of the all instructions and directions of Holy Quran. The personality of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) epitomized the Quran in itself and He explained each and every verse of Quran through his actions (Sunah). Holy Prophet Says about Holy Quran,
"The superiority and preference of the Holy Quran on all other books and sayings is the same as the superiority of Almighty over His creatures."
According to another Hadith of our beloved Prophet (PBUH),
"The Holy Quran is superior and excellent to everything other than Almighty Allah (SWT)."
Above mentioned Hadiths clearly suggest that there is nothing better than Quran in this universe except Allah who revealed this glorious book on His Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Furthermore, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) performed the duties of Quran teacher in best possible fashion in most difficult of circumstances.
Value of Holy Quran in Islamic traditions:
The Holy Quran has always been held in high esteem and rightly so by Muslim scholars in traditions whether it is learning, teaching, memorizing, reading, planning or implementing the text of the Quran to particular situations. There are numerous such traditions in both major sects of Muslims that are Sunni and Shiite that illustrate the unmatched greatness of this book of virtues and blessings.
The Muslims interpreters of the Holy Quran especially belonging to early centuries of rise of Islam have done a commendable work of compiling these traditions in different books known as “books of traditions”. Some other titles of such books are “books of excellence of Quran” and books of “merits of Quran”.
The basic purpose of these collections of Quranic traditions was to use them to resolve different problems arising in different periods of time. These books contain many traditions from the life of Holy Prophet (PBUH), his pious companions and Imams that followed them and which make these books a treasure of knowledge. Although some of these scripts could not be saved for next generations yet some recent scholars have done remarkable work of bringing Quranic traditions in written.
